Not a guidebook. A local.

My name is Mario Del Giudice. I have lived the Sorrento coast my whole life, and I know it the way a local does — every place, every hidden corner, every shortcut no guidebook marks.

My story

I did not discover this coast on holiday. I grew up on it.

I believe the best holidays are the authentic ones — not the package routes, not the itineraries that are the same for everyone. Those you can find anywhere. What people really come for is not a list of attractions: it is the meaning of a place.

I want to help you discover the most authentic side of the Sorrentine traditions: the hidden and unwritten places, the fishermen's stories, the origins of the villages where I played as a child — so that everyone can have a relaxing, genuinely interesting holiday, discovering these small paradises of ours.

That is why this site tells the truth other guides hide: that nobody really knows how long the Path of the Gods is, that there is no bar at the Bagni della Regina Giovanna, that the worst part of the day is the seventeen hundred steps at the end. I would rather tell you how things really are, and let you have a real holiday.

What I believe

The best holidays are not the organised ones. They are the authentic ones — where a place is told to you by someone who lives there.

What I bring you

What a guidebook cannot give

The hidden places

The coves and rocky corners no guidebook marks — the ones you reach on foot, if you know where to look.

The fishermen's stories

The tales of Marina del Cantone and the marinas, the ones passed on by voice that never make it onto a website.

Where the villages come from

The origins of the names, the traditions and the places of my childhood — the meaning of a place, not just its location.
